2 months old

Jace is two months old today!  He is so smiley and adorable.  Some nights he lets us sleep a little longer now and other nights he doesn't.  It is pretty inconsistent.  He likes to look at books and listen to us sing songs.  He still really likes the play gym.  He is very curious and alert.  We love him so much.  On a side note, I think I've done more laundry in the past two months than I have in my whole life :)

I still haven't been able to get a very good picture of his smile- he has a little dimple on one of his cheeks.

Some people from my work gave us a blanket that says, "I love my monkey."  They also gave us a cute sock monkey outfit.  We love our monkey.

Here is some tummy time.  Notice the nice monk hairdo.

1 month old

I imagined this idea being cuter.  I wanted to show how Jace grows compared to the stuffed bald eagle.  I will still probably do it each month, hopefully I can take better pictures. This picture is from March 26, 2013 (Amos's birthday). He is one month old.

Baby Showers

I feel incredibly blessed by how generous people were to me.  I had 4 baby showers and ended up with amazing and thoughtful gifts. I was impressed with how many of my friends know how to make things like hats, blankets, burp cloths, and car seat covers.  Here are the pictures I took from my baby showers.

The first shower my sister-in-law, Amanda, threw for me.  My Aunt Shannon and Grandma Nadine were in town from Oregon which was nice. Laura, Meghan, and Deserae were also in attendance. Amos and Devin were there playing with Rock and Fletcher in the other room.

My second baby shower was thrown by my best friends, Missy and Terra. Amanda and my mom helped too.  This shower was a friend shower. Terra made the cutest homemade invitations. She is so crafty.  Missy had a good idea that everyone who brought a package of diapers would be entered in a drawing to earn a prize.  Because of that, I still haven't bought diapers and Jace is 7 1/2 weeks old.  Great idea Missy!  Amanda made cute soap for favors. It was a blue heart that said, "It's a boy."  We also used the diaper cake she made me for this shower as well. My mom helped bring some of the yummy food.  The theme of the shower was children's books.  All of the food was related to a children's story.  We thought this was a cute idea since I love reading and I'm a teacher.  The prize Missy gave away was a gift card to Barnes and Noble (and a notebook and bookmark, I think).  We had a great time.

My third baby shower was at school.

My fourth baby shower was in Springville with Amos's Grandma, Aunts, and cousins.
Aunt Cathy took pictures at that shower.  I have hard copies, but I don't have the pictures on my camera.  I will try and get some. Thank you everyone who has supported us.  We feel so loved!
