The Leonardo

We went to The Leonardo yesterday.  They had a Spooky Science display and lots of other fun things for kids.  Jace liked looking around and it was pretty interesting for adults too.

Jace is 7 months old

Jace makes our lives so much fun!  He is starting to roll around more and we wrestle more with him now.  He has started dropping his third nap on some days.  He is just a joy to be around.

Donut Falls

Yesterday, we took Jace on his first hike.  We borrowed Missy's hiking backpack and invited Lucian, Kolten, Talan, and Mandy to go along.  The hike was pretty easy and ends at a waterfall.  Jace really liked looking around at all the trees.  The boys hiked up the waterfall to the bigger waterfall at the top.  On the way back to the car Jace fell asleep in the backpack because it was his naptime.  His head just slumped forward- poor guy.  It was beautiful weather that day so it was the perfect day to go.

Utah State Fair

We went to the Utah State Fair with Missy, Ryan, and Truman.  We started at the giant yellow slide that you go down on burlap rugs.  Jace didn't smile, but he also didn't cry so I guess that means he liked it. Then we went to this cute kid's farm where kids get to do pretend farm chores.  They get to put corn in a bucket and feed it to a pretend cow, brush a sheep, plant a seed, pick a vegetable, get an egg, and ride a tractor.  At the end when they put all the stuff back they get a pretend dollar to get a small treat.  Truman really liked this activity.  I'm sure Jace will love it next year.  We went to a room that had a lot of fun children's toys, like the kind you would find in a children's museum.  Then we went to see the animals while it was raining.  Jace fell asleep in his stroller.  It kept raining so we knew we needed to head home, but not before we each got a treat.  I got an elephant ear and Amos got a giant turkey leg.  I should have taken a picture of that.  He looked like a caveman when he was eating it.  All in all it was a fun experience and I am excited to take Jace next year when he can walk and do more activities. I didn't bring my camera so thanks Missy for sending us these pictures!

Pictures from Aunt Amanda

Here are some cute pictures that Aunt Amanda has taken while babysitting Jace.  It looks like Jace and Rock have fun together while Jace is there.
At Jace's 6 month doctor appointment he was in the 5th percentile for weight and 42nd for height.  He weighs 14 lbs. 14 oz. and is 26.5 inches long.  We get lots of comments on how beautiful his eyes are everywhere we go.
