Yellowstone

Jace said that he wanted to see Old Faithful while he was four. So he and I (Amos) drove up the last Friday in Sept. through Idaho to Yellowstone. We liked seeing the Idaho Falls temple and Rexburg Temple on the way. We also saw the Star Valley temple on the way home unexpectedly in some small town in Wyoming. When we got to Yellowstone Jace helped set up the tent, then we went to Old Faithful. While hiking around waiting for Old Faithful, the Beehive Geyser erupted near us. It was cool, and we got a little wet. Then we saw Old Faithful. It was getting dark and cold so went back to camp. I wanted to stay up to see the stars but Jace wanted to go to bed. So after hotdogs and smores we went to bed. Jace slept alright. Saturday was pretty cold. We went to Grand Prismatic Spring and then Yellowstone Canyon to see the waterfalls. Jace said he wanted to see one more "cool thing" before leaving Yellowstone. I checked our map and said, "How bout this one called Mud Volcano?" Jace said, "Uh, yeah!" It was definitely cool, and so was the Dragon's Mouth and other things near it. We spent the rest of Saturday driving home. Animals we saw included about 4 elk (no bulls), some squirels and chipmunks (Jace really liked seeing them climb trees near us), about a million Buffalos (Bison?) and a big grizzly bear.
