Jace is 4!

I can't believe I have a 4 year old! We had a Paw Patrol party for Jace on Saturday (actual birthday is on Sunday). In the morning when he came down and saw all the decorations, he was so excited.  He talked about each one, asked how Amos hung them up, and complimented everything (even the wrapping paper) for at least a half hour. It is fun to do nice things for him because he is so grateful. When friends and family came over, we played Paw Patrol Toss Across, Bingo, and a musical cakewalk type game.  Then we had snacks, sang "Happy Birthday," and ate cupcakes.  After that, Jace opened his presents and the kids played. The party turned out great!  We let him pick where to go to dinner and he picked Arctic Circle (no surprise there). Jace is smart, sweet, caring, silly, fun, and a great big brother. Jace already knows how to read and write his letters and numbers. He is dressing himself all by himself now. He is in the 16th percentile for weight and the 55th percentile for height. We feel so lucky to have him as our son.

Valentine's Day

Amos brought home flowers for all of us on Valentine's Day.  Jace was very happy to have a blue rose.  Violet pulled off the petals of her rose and liked eating the stem and plastic wrapping.  She kept trying to eat the flower petals but realized they were gross and would pull them out.  Then Jace and I had a "petal fight" and threw petals at each other.  It was fun!

Violet is 8 Months Old

My baby girl is 8 months old.  Last month brought a lot of changes.  Violet is rolling around a lot more and sitting up very well.  We made her learn to put herself to sleep at night and for naps.  3 out of 4 of the top front teeth broke through her gums.  That is a lot of teething! She has been waking up 2-4 times at night due to the teething so I am super tired.  She started making gaga dada sounds.  She is very good in the car now.  She seems to be more happy and playful.  We have been playing hide and seek as a family.  When Amos or I count to 20 and say, "Ready or not here we come," Violet starts to squeal and get excited.  When she "finds" someone, she starts to flap her arms and legs and coo.  It is so cute.  Jace is still the best at getting her to laugh. It is always a surprise at what she laughs at too.

Fun Stuff With Jace

Jace and Amos built a 2 ball snowman who likes to play Tball.  Amos also built a snow slide for Jace to sled down. Jace made Valentines for family.  It was his first time writing a message himself.  Amos took Jace to Home Depot to build a Valentine mailbox.  It was very busy there, so they brought it home to make.
