In July Grandpa Mayne took Jace and me (Amos) with Uncle Poosh and his boys to Colorado in a rented van/SUV. It took about 9 hours to get to Denver. Jace did great on the trip, but definitely got tired of being in the car. Jace and I slept over at Grandpa Mayne's Thursday night which Jace was excited about. Friday night after checking into the motel we went to a Rockies game. The Pirates won. Jace was also excited to stay in a hotel. Saturday we went to Uncle Jake's grave at the military cemetery. Then we spent the rest of the day at Lakeside Amusement Park. The lines were short all day, which was great. It was a very old fashioned park with lots of character. Jace went on every ride they would let him on including the Cyclone (big white rollercoaster), even though they wouldn't let him on the little dragon rollercoaster. We had planned on going to a nice Mexican restaurant with entertainment, but we were tired and not feeling well after all the rides, and the line was like an hour long so we went to Denny's. On the Sunday drive home we stopped in Gypsum and Glenwood springs to put wild flowers on Jace's great Grandpa Mayne's grave.
