Jace's Birthday (weekend)

Jace's birthday was on a Thursday.  Amos usually works at night so we didn't plan his party for that day.  Amos ended up working earlier in the day that day.  We gave Jace animal pattern blocks and a giant excavator that made sounds and moved.  We asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said chicken and French fries so we took him to Chik-fil-a.  On Friday we had his 2 year doctor appointment.  He was 81% height, 7% weight, and average head size.  The doctor said we needed to stop giving him a binky because it is probably pushing his teeth forward.  He also has an extra tooth on the top that might need to be pulled (I really hope not). On Saturday we had a big party for Jace at the church cultural hall.  It was a construction zone theme. The games were pin the wheel on the tractor, toss the ring on the construction cone, and a play area with tractors and cars.  The food all had a construction theme too.  "Build" a sandwich, spare parts (vegetables), 2x4s (pretzels), wrecking balls (cheese ball puffs), spare tires (mini chocolate donuts), fuel (water), and tools (silverware). Then we played and opened presents. He got many nice gifts from his friends and family. He got a monster bus, monster truck, bath toys, art stuff, books, puzzles, building logs, ukulele, and clothes. After that we had cake and ice cream.  We invited family and friends.  The reason we decided to invite friends this year because Jace loves talking about birthday parties and singing the "Happy Birthday" song.  He has us sing the birthday song to his cars and random stuff around the house almost every day.  He is also very social.  We knew he would love it and he did!  On Sunday, my dad, Laura, Michael, Amanda, and Rock came over for another little party. Amanda made a cute cake for him. He got a cute easel that was a magnetic whiteboard with magnet letters that can turn into a desk.
