California Vacation

We went to California again this year.  We stayed with the Tysvers again.  They were nice enough to invite us, pick us up from the airport, let us stay at their house, and feed us.  Jace was so awesome on the airplane.  He held our hand through airport and sat on our lap on the airplane without fussing.  He looked out the window, had a snack, and played a little on the Ipad.  I had packed all of these activities to do, but we didn't even end up needing them. Jace was so excited to see Teagen and Jack. The first night there was rough.  Jace woke up in the night crying.  He ended up sleeping in bed with me and wanted to hold my hand almost the whole night.  Amos got kicked out to the couch.  The next day we went to Disneyland but only went to the California Adventures part.  It was beautiful weather and not too crowded. We started out in Cars Land.  We went on the Mater Ride and the floating tires ride.  Jace wasn't tall enough to go on the car ride. Then the adults went on Hollywood Tower of Terror.  We went on a ride in Bugs Life Land with Teagen while Anne and Jordan went on the ride. After that we got lunch. Anne, Amos, and I went on California Screamin.  Then we all went on the Ariel ride.  We went shopping and saw some Disney characters.  We got Jace a Cars shirt and little car with Mickey driving.  Amos got Jace to fall asleep for a little while in the stroller while Teagen went on a ride and met another character.  At the end we all went on the big ferris wheel and then a Toy Story Ride.  By then it was getting late and Jace was getting tired (and a little bit fussy because he was hungry).  We left and went to In and Out for Dinner.  Then we drove home.  On Saturday we hung out at the Tysver's house.  It was rainy so we couldn't go to the park (it was actually warmer in Utah than California that day).  After nap time, we went to the mall so the kids could play at a little play place. On Sunday the weather was nice so the kids played outside a little bit.  We had to go back to the airport in the later afternoon.  Jace did really well on the airplane again.  It was a quick trip but so fun.  It was good to see our friends again.  I wish we could do this every year.

Snow

The first time we had snow this year was a couple of days before Christmas.  Jace had a runny nose and I didn't want him to be sick on Christmas, so we didn't go out.  Then it never snowed again.  One morning there was a little bit of snow on the ground so we decided to go out.  I didn't want all the snow gear we got him to go to waste.  It has not snowed since then.  It is February and the temperatures are in the 50's and 60's!  I don't know if he will have another chance to go in the snow this winter.  Good thing we bought all that snow gear.  The other pictures are of Truman and Jace playing with Play Doh at our house.
