Family Pictures

We decided to get family pictures for Jace's first birthday.  Here are the ones we liked.

Party Time

The Sunday before Jace's birthday my dad, Laura, Michael, Amanda, and Rock came over for a little birthday party.  We bought Jace a basketball hoop for his birthday so Amos set it up before they came over.  We had Papa Murphy's pizza, veggies, and cupcakes.  We did a sports theme for his party (big surprise I know).  We found pretty cute decorations, plates, and goody bag stuff at the Dollar Tree.

The day after Jace's birthday we had a bigger party with my mom, Amos's mom and dad, Lucian, Kolten, Talan, Memorie, Henry, Eliza, Rock, Amanda, Michael, Missy, and Truman.  We had pulled pork sandwiches, meatballs, veggies, cheese and crackers, and cupcakes.  Then we played a quick game of sports bingo.  Jace opened his presents, and then we did the cake smash.  We made him a baseball cake.  He squished, smashed, and threw the cake but didn't eat much of it.  He would eat it if I put it in his mouth.  He was very sad when I took him away from the cake.  We put him straight into the bath.  He loves, loves, loves the bath.  I think the party went pretty well.  It was a bit chaotic because of our small house, but I was planning on that.  He got so many nice presents at both of his parties.  He got a soft toolbox and tools, little pirates, blocks, bath toys, a V-tech alphabet train, a rattle controlled car, books, a sound puzzle, ball, ball ramp, ball spinner, music toy, cute clothes/shoes/sunglasses/hat, and a children's church song CD. I'm thankful there are so many people who love Jace and wanted to celebrate with us!
